Comments about Sea Dog Sea Dog Cam Lock Stainless Cam Lock:

I orderd this particular cam lock over others because it is listed as stainless and I wanted to use it in an exterior door on my boat.

I was very dissapointed when the package the lock arrived in said right on it:

Cam Lock
Stainless Steel
Die Cast Zinc

Really?????

Furthermore this lock lacks some important hardware offered in other locks like the Sierra.

The barrel of theses lock have flats on them so they won't spin in the bore in the cabinet door. Locks like the Sierra come with a little escutcheon that screws into place over a round bore in the door and that part provides the mating flats to the barrel. This one doesn't have that important part, so you either have to make it yourself, or carefully create a hole in the door that has its own mating flats. Either way it is a lot more work than simply drilling a hole and screwing the parts together.

Stay away from this one. The only reason I gave it 2 stars is that it does in fact function and it is inexpensive.... but if I had known that it wasn't really stainless.....
