Comments about Rave Sports Rave Sports Ravenger 1-3 Rider w/ Rave Tail:

I purchased this tube for my three children. The tube is made from high-quality, heavy duty vinyl, with very strong handholds. The bottom and sides are fully covered in a heavy-duty denier nylon. I've had no issues with build or materials quality and based on one season of use, it appears to wear very well, with no signs yet of it beginning to wear out.

The seating positions are large enough for the teenagers. Riders sit "in" the tube in the side seats. Handholds and a deep-seated position help keep them in the tube even in wide sweeping turns. The cushioned bottom keeps their rear-ends from getting sore. The seating area is large enough for them to stretch out their legs. The side rides even have a headrest.

The middle position is ridden like a jet ski. Though it inflates to the shape of jet ski handlebars, the middle rider actually holds onto handholds just underneath the pseudo handlebars. The seat base is heavily inflated and is very comfortable even on bounces that get you airborne.

The inflatable also generates a "rooster tail" just like some of the real jet skis.

This tube is fun for adults and children of a wide age range. I've had kids from age 9 and up, but any kid old enough for any tube would be appropriate for this one. The tube is most fun when the boat makes a wide sweeping turn, pulling the tube in an arc past the boat wake. With a booster ball to keep the rope out of the water, the water splashed on the riders faces is kept to a minimum, even when towing from a low tow point.

The only drawback is that this tube is very large. You'll either need to invest in a quality, high-volume pump that you can take to the boat launch or pre-inflate it and have it take a lot of space in your truck bed. Also, the tube takes up a lot of space on the back of the boat when heading to/from the dock/boat ramp. This is not a problem specific to this tube, but it's unique shape makes it taller and longer than some other three-person tubes. The tube is still fun to use and we're glad we got it.
