This is the perfect depth finder for a ski-boat. It fits in a standard gauge hole in the dash. It allows depth alarms to be set to save your prop, and we find that water temp is essential in our boats used for skiing in spring and fall.

Lowrance hit the nail on the head with the easy to use, no-nonsense digital flasher unit. I installed in on a 17 1/2' aluminum bass boat and it's worked like a charm. Easy to read, simple set up and dead on accurate. If you need to know how deep you are running in a split second this is a MUST HAVE!

I heard bad feedback on other brands. I have one of these on each of my two boats. Good readings in shallow water (down to 1.5 feet) and at speeds up to 40 mph (my top speed) I like the dual reading for depth and temp. I have had them for less than one year so I cannot comment of how long they last. So far they are great.

installed it Spring 08. The backlight is already broken. It is hard to get it to stay in the mode you want. Controls are not intuitive at all. Reads fine going out but it doesn't read very well after running in deep water and then heading to the dock. You have to stop to let it get a fix and then it becomes accurate.
