I use two 6500 outfits to fish the Chesapeake Bay in my OK Prowler kayak- it is perfect for all species I catch in the Bay from trophy stripers to doormat flounder- works well trolling or casting lures or bottom fishing with bait- great all around medium duty casting reel.
I am "old school" about conventional tackle so I don't have any cons to list, but I have used casting tackle all my life and it is second nature to me to cast these reels with an educated thumb.
