Best on a boat that is moderately oxidized. A boat with heavy oxidization needs to be cleaned with a light rubbing compound first. If not, then the wax is used too quickly and dries out real fast.

I would recommend using an electric buffer to buff this product. It is like most polishing compounds, it is not as easy to use as a wax. However it is a one step product. Waxing is not necessary, because the wax is already in it.
Instead of two labor intensive steps, only step will clean as well as a light polishing compound, and give your boat a great wax shine, which lasts.
