It works as a temporary device until I can replace the holding tanks and plumbing on my boat. Moving parts appear to be flimsy, especially the dump slide pull handle, and I don't think it will hold up for long term use.
The flush system will not hold pressure for more than a very few minutes; in short, you have to pump it up for each use. This type of device works best if the dump valve is open when used instead of closed as in the use instructions. This would be greatly facillitated if it had a lever on the side instead of the pull handle in the front. The people who design and approve these things should have to use them for at least a month before they are approved for manufacture and sale to the public. You may wonder why I use this type of product if I'm so down on them. Like I said, it's better than a plastic bag!

easy to use, light weight and comfortable. A must have for those without plumbing. This toilet will mount to most existing plumbing.

Installed this in utility trailer used to haul atv's and m/c's and use for sleeping quarters. It does just what it's supposed to do. I've had a porta potty for years on the pontoon boat, but this one is a little bigger, more stable, and somehow just "better." Boater's World seemed to have best price I saw.

Easy to move in and out of storage area for use. Takes up little space. Lasts for 30-50 flushes as advertised. Easy to clean and empty.

This portable toilet works great! Very stable, an appropriate size and the color went well with the decor of our boat. The holding tank is sufficient, it cleans easily and with chemicals, there is no smell whatsoever. This has been a great addition to our boating weekends.

Having a larger holding tank than flushing tank is a big plus.
Flushing action is no where near as good as on-line video would have you believe.
Is great for #1, but will take some good scrubbing between uses if used for #2.
For the money though, it is probably the better of the units out there.

If you are expecting an average size toliet, be warned this is about half the size. The benefit of this is it will fit in any car trunk, but it does not feel comfortable for an adult to sit on it for very long. Your knees are in your face. The fact that it is all plastic[...], and so small, probably means it is a little overpriced. It does what is expected of it, so I am satisfied.

I've had a few different porta potties on my boat and this one works very well as far as containing odors and as an msd. The reason I gave this only one star is that I bought it specifically for its pressurized flushing. After pressurizing the unit using about 15 pumps, there is a good strong flush. The next flush, however, is more of s weak stream of water, and the next is a dribble. The unit must be pumped after 2 flushes. It's easy to do, more of an inconvenience really. The product description does not state this, either in Boatersworld or on the Dometic website. My Visa was better using a piston pump. At the time of purchase I was also thinking of the Thetford electric flush but I went with the Dometic because it doesn't use batteries. I don't know how good the Thetford is, but knowing whst I kmow now I would have bought that one.

This is a great portable toilet for a couple who spends 3-4 days at a time on a boat. When we also use shore-based bathrooms, we can go a week with this portable toilet. The pressurized flush is much better than simple gravity rinse porta-potties, and the option to hard-plumb this into the boat is a great option. Amazingly, it has TWICE the capacity of a typical portable toilet, but it's only a tiny bit bigger.
