    Not Easy to Deal With
By Tino from San Jose, CA on 9/23/2008

    Cons:
Difficult to detach, Hard to empty
    Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Comments about Sealand Dometic Sealand Dometic 972 Portable Toilet 2.8 Gallon (9.8 Liter)Holding Tank:

    1. Lower tank inside is not smooth. Solid waste hides in nook and crannies. Long involved process of infusing fresh water and twirling tank to get solid waste out. Have to get up close and personal. Would rather just empty a bucket.

    2. Detaching lower tank from top is tricky. The West Marine customer care person had a hard time with that when I bought it. Thought I'd figure out how to do it properly - but, it's just a bad design, he was doing it right.

Comments about Sealand Dometic Sealand Dometic 972 Portable Toilet 2.8 Gallon (9.8 Liter)Holding Tank:

Having a functional and easy to use portapotty on a small boat makes taking friends out for the day much more enjoyable (and comfortable) for everyone. No one has to be embarrassed or in discomfort. We put up the privacy curtain and the potty is easy to use. The only drawback is that it's low to the ground - but we manage with that.
