Comments about Lowrance Lowrance HDS-5 Multifunction Fishfinder/Chartplotter w/ 83/200 kHz Transducer:

It has good features, but the menu is hard to use and is not intuitive. I use it on an inland lake with the lakemaps card (purchased separately) which I consider a must for good bottom contours and night operation. It works very well for finding fish, bottom structure, and navigation, and I would give it 5 stars if it were easier to use.

The HDS-5 is very user friendly and has some very good qualities in the sonar features. but most of all, the chart plotter has really put me right back on the fish.
