I had a lowrance in the boat I bought it was only a few years old and already obsolete with no parts avaiable. After doing research I liked the Humminbird on had everything I needed and can expand for down riggers, weather. other units. the dual sonar is a nice feature too.
Its easy to use and reliable. set it how you want it and go.

UNIT IS EASY TO INSTALL, I SUGGEST TO RUN POWER FROM YOUR BATTERY AND PUT A FUSE IN LINE. COLOR AND RESOLUTION IS GREAT. AFTER READING OWNERS MANUAL, I WAS NAVIGATING THE NEXT TIME I WAS ON THE WATER. THERE IS A SIMULATION MODE TO HELP
LEARN. BEST VALUE FOR THE MONEY, I BOUGHT THE UNIT WITH THE NAVIONICS GOLD MAPS PRELOADED. THE ONLY NEGATIVE I CAN FIND, IS THAT AN OPTION FOR THE PLATINUM MAPS WERE NOT OFFERED. I SHOPPED THIS ITEM FOR FOUR MONTHS. I STARTED WITH LORANCE, THEN TO GARVIN. HUMMINGBIRD INCLUDED, TRANSDUCER, PRELOADED MAPS, THE BEST MOUNT I HAVE SEEN, AND ALL CABLES. CAPT. Humminbird has created a great product in sonars and gps combo.I tried other brands and was totally dissatisfied
