Start with the reel?s heart and soul - its powerful lever drag system with HT100 drag washers. The same material used to brake landing aircraft. The lever system makes it possible to pre-set tension to safe limits, then within a 120 degree arc engage or disengage the drag system or apply additional pressure. It also has set stops free-spool, strike and full drag pressure. All Internationals are machined one-piece aluminum frames, a forged aluminum spool, tempered stainless steel gearing, and sealed stainless steel ball bearings.

The reel is great for all types of big game fishing. I use it to chunk over noght in the canyon, i use it for shark fishing and for catch small blue fin
