The engineering design and quality of these nets with heavy mono, weights, more and larger Braille lines, bonded thread, treated leadline, strong selvage and excellent design that opens fully and sinks faster, makes this the standard by which all shrimp nets will be compared.

Comments about Betts Tackle Betts Tackle Sea Green Cast Net 7'5/8'':

It could be a great net but there's a problem:

The swivel and the rope that attach to the net get caught in the net sometimes. If you yank the rope to try and free it from the net, it rips the net. This design flaw caused my brand new net to get a 6 inch hole in it the first time I used it. That sucks.

I stitched it up with mono. The rest of that day if the rope an swivel get caught in the net, I just slowly pulled the net in and watched the bait swim away.

This is not my first net! I've been using castnets for years.

I do like the rope that the weights are on. It holds the net open real nice, but the way the swivel end catches in the net really sucks! It's a "name brand" net so I expected much better. Next time I'll spend 1/2 the money and get a no name net.

I "sort of" fixed the problem by using electrical tape to tape up the swivel and the end of the rope. It doesn't get caught in the net anymore but I still have a brand new net that has a 6 inch hole in it :(.

I Betts if you buy one you may have the same problem! Betts needs to re-design it.
