Ray Marine's intergrated system, while less intuitive than some others, works extremely well, and is exceedingly powerful and easy once learned. When paired with an E-120, a good transducer (and radar) offers excellent fish finding ability in all but shallow water. The ability to use the GPS overlay to place a way point on a specific bottom structure after it has been passed is extremely useful. The automatic settings work well. The ability to upgrade software via download and attached computer or CF card is very useful. Professional installation is not require, but is usually best.

This unit works great, but is rather large. The manual recomends that you mount it close to the transducer, however the safest place is in the Console. They advise against mounting in the Console due to Magnetic interaction with other components, but due to the size of it I had no reasonable choice. It has worked great so far, just wish they could make it smaller. Thanks B.W.

Simpicity it hasn't got. Raymarine has to many gadgets to perform routine functions. Other brands do as well or better with much less.
