Comments about Garmin Garmin 300C Fishfinder w/ Dual Beam Transom Mount Transducer:

Although small, the unit performs well and does what it should. However, it does not come with a manual. I have two of the same exact same units and with both of them I had to learn much of their usage by trial and error.

Comments about Garmin Garmin 300C Fishfinder w/ Dual Beam Transom Mount Transducer:

I have a small 2 man 16ft Vhull 2man boat, that can go anywhere, with the new Garmin 300C it lets me see all of the fish from bait to Large, and that way I can zone in on the right fish.

Comments about Garmin Garmin 300C Fishfinder w/ Dual Beam Transom Mount Transducer:

Excellent unit, compact, easy to install, very accurate. Screen does not wash out in bright sunlight. Unit is a bit flimsy, could be more robust. This is still an excellent choice for small to medium boats.

As advertised - decent fish finder
By KevcarpVerified Reviewer from Raleigh, NC USA on 4/23/2008
Pros:
Durable, High Quality
Cons:
Expensive
Best Uses:
Lakes, Non-moving depth finder
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Comments about Garmin Garmin 300C Fishfinder w/ Dual Beam Transom Mount Transducer:

This unit is as advertised. I haven't been able to use it as I expected to be able to constantly and definitively show the ground/depth when moving much past 10mph. I know it's not designed for that, but that's what I wanted it for, and it says somewhere that it can read such things up to 70mph. It shows the fish too, I just haven't fished in the spots it tells me fish are at so I can't comment on that.
Other than that, crisp screen, small enough for most. Expensive fishfinder, not the best depth finder (at moving speeds).
