The Satellite2 406 is the world's smallest 406 MHz EPIRB with worldwide approval on the market. Transmits on 406 MHz (COSPAS-SARSAT) with your registered, digitally encoded distress signal, which is then quickly transmitted to a ground station, kicking the rescue operation into gear. It also transmits on the 121.5 MHz homing signal to guide the rescuing parties to your location. This EPIRB is self-buoyant and floats upright. The polycarbonate housing is extremely resistant to UV light, chemicals, extreme temperatures, and shock. The lanyard is coiled on a recessed spool. Three-position manual switch allows you to activate or test the unit. Measures 4 1/2'' x 5 1/4'' x 8 1/4''. Non Hazardous Class 2 Battery.
