Thrilled with the cavernous interior. Used to haul wild game, namely deer, turkey and quail. This huge capacity cooler can easily hold 4+ west Texas deer, meat already processed, and keep it frozen for the 9 hour drive home to northeast Louisiana. The heavy duty hinges and latches are a big plus. Very pleased!

This is a great ice chest. I use it when I go hunting. The size is just perfect, is easy to clean, and easy to access. And for the price, you can't go wrong. I would highly recommend it.

than 7 day cooler . Would have to position in same part of boat to make a

Although the small access door in top is very handy, I would rather see the extra space in the big lid used for keeping certain items cool, but dry!!! An example would be ingredients for making sandwiches; such as bread, lettuce, tomatoes, lunch meat's, etc.....
If you folks would make the next version of this cooler with my suggestion, I would buy it in a heart beat!!! Also you could add a folding piece of thick Lexan, which could be used as a cutting board, if set-up properly, one side could be used for food, the flip-it over, and the other side could be used for bait-prep. Last but not least, cut small groves on the inside, along both sides, at equal intervals, then you could insert plexiglass boards to make seperate compartments, which would be adjustable in size. These changes would make this already good cooler, a great cooler, and one of the most versatile, and flexible coolers on the market. Just my opinion, but I would certainly buy a cooler like this!

The MaxCold 165 was perchased to transport fish back from Florida to Indiana after a week long fishing trip in the Gulf of Mexico. The cooler did all that was promised and more. We were able to pack over 500 pounds of fish filets and ice into the cooler and it kept every filet ice cold on the long drive home in the back of my truck. A fantastic cooler. We used the cooler to hold a "whole" pig over night in ice before cooking the next day. The cooler was outstanding in keeping new ice and drinks cool for 4 days surrounding our cook out and party, after the pig roast...
