Comments about Marine Pro 12 Volt Stainless Steel Blender:

Brand new out of the box it did not even work. For how much it costs it should not have any problems.

Comments about Marine Pro 12 Volt Stainless Steel Blender:

This was intended as a 2006 holiday gift for my wife to celebrate our new boat, so I opened the box and checked the blender for damage. Nice and heavy! Seems well constructed . . . Nothing broken . . . OK - except that the numerous pictures on the box and description states the unit has the following switch positions: M-O-1-2-3. Well, the MarinePro, MPSS-807B in my box has M-O-1 only. The descriptions on this website and on the box state that the blender has three speeds. "Three Blending Speeds Plus Burst Mode For Quick Mixing". I interpret this to mean slow, medium, and high plus a pulse button. The pulse button should give an extra burst of speed or power.
I plugged the blended into a heavy duty 15amp 12VDC power supply and the motor turned at exactly the same moderate speed in the M, 1 or ice crusher "Burst" speeds. Does the "O" for off position count as a speed? There was hardly enough power to spin the ice around in the carafe let alone crush it in either the #1 speed or with the "Burst" button. Actually, the RPM of the motor sounded exactly the same for both and in the "M" switch position, as well.
Plugged into the accessory socket of my Chevy Suburban with the engine on gave exactly the same single bland blending speed. Is this a mistake or how the product is supposed to be? I feel duped and the unit is going right back. For the money, I'll stick with my 20 year old 120VAC Osterizer at dockside - and that one actually has all three speeds and pulverizes ice!
Shape-up Marinepro . . .
