Install over existing helm chair pedestals!

Replace you're worn out helm seats with this new adjustable width leaning post. Posts adjust from port to starboard , making replacement of old chairs with a new leaning post easy! Simply remove your old chairs, leaving your pedestals, adjust the aluminum pedestal sleeves to slide over your pedestals and you are done. Leaning post includes 4 rod holders and marine grade tufted vinyl. The travel is from 21" on center to 28.5" on center. Pedestal sleeve fits over 2 7/8" dia. pedestals. A poly sleeve is included to use between the existing post and the leaning post tube to prevent wobbling. Measures 15.75" D x 37.5"W x 32" H. Model 2200-50SA. Sh. Wt. 59lbs

The hardest part about installing this leaning post was tightening the bolts on the seat. It couldn't have been easier. I was worried that the seat would wobble, but absolutely nothing! Even on good chop in the ocean. Also, has a decent cubby hole in the back of the seat for storage. Rain jackets, tools etc.[...]

Swapped out the old pedestals on my 17' Mako.
It couldn't have been easier. Start to finish, I was done in 20 minutes.
Now I have an up to date leaning post on my boat!
