I haven't used this rack yet (Snow where I live..too cold!) but it sure seems like it's a nice sturdy rack that will work beautifully. I previously had a Yakima Stacker which I found difficult to use. I liked the fact that it is also considerably cheaper than a Thule or Yakima and is made by Thule. Mine will be mounted on a Yakima load bar, but this rack would work on a Thule bar or factory bars. Nicely made unit!
The only thing that I can think of that would improve this is to connect the bars at the bottom so that the yak can be directly fastened to the rack versus the load bar..although, now that I think about it, it's probably more secure fastened to the load bar at the bottom. Just a nit-pick.
