no unit will not freez if it gets the right return air and or the unit my be under charged in all cases freez means one or the other

way too much money for what you think you are going to get... these units freeze up all the time and the only cure is to turn the T-stat down a bunch then the unit barely cools... try getting one serviced... even the factory is clueless and will offer no help.
