I just installed an AM/FM/CD player inside the cuddy on my boat and used this mount. It was easy to install and gives a nice professional look. In my case the wires come out the open top into an electronics area so the two holes in the back could use plugs. My only complaint is that it doesn't come with rubber plugs for those holes. Otherwise it's a great protected area mount.
