You would think that if we could send a man to the moon, we could develop a scupper that would let water out but not allow water to seep back in. This product if fantastic, unlike the flapper scuppers or the ping pong ball scuppers that drive you crazy with the noise, this one really works. When you get pieces of dirt and little pieces of fishing line they still keep sealed from water coming back into the scupper but readily flush out when you are draining.
