I have used the BG series for many years and found them to be very durable in saltwater. There is a drag washer that can get lost when disassembling the spool of the BG20 and up. The BG15 has a push button removable spool and no loose drag washer. I have caught many fish with the BG series and have had no losses due to the reel.
