Comments about BEP Marine BEP Marine Voltage Sensitive Relay:
I used the voltage sensitive relay to keep a seperate battery for my vehicle to run a portable TV DVD Player. The voltage sensitive relay keeps the seperate battery charged while the engine is running, yet will not drain the vehicle battery when the engine is off. Better than using the cigarette lighter plug which turns off with the ingition switch and is limited to 10 amps.

My boat blew its VSR, built into and part of the BEP Marine system of electrical [...] However the BEP "system" is not the best. The various "units" that mesh together(switches, VSR, grounding posts, etc) do not allow acces for easy diagnostic evaluation. Basically need to take everything apart(about 20-30 screws) and then twist and turn to get at the back of them to evaluate and replace. On the water or under duress, this would not be pleasant and I will look for an alternative system in my future boats.
