This paddle features a shaft of super strong, lightweight, silver anodized aluminum that extends fully into the high impact plastic blade's length, giving internal reinforcement. The shaft is partially clad around normal hand position with a full 1/16'' wall of plastic for extra comfort and better grip. The T-grip handle provides an ergonomically correct hand position and doubles as a boat hook.
