Four push buttons give you full control to set a course, make minor adjustments and switch screen modes. The large LCD displays crosstrack error, apparent wind and rudder angle once interfaced with NMEA compatible units. By integrating the AP-11 Autopilot with either a GPS or chart plotter, routes can be set for the pilot to follow. On nearing a waypoint the pilot will sound an alarm, but, as a safety feature, will not change course onto the next leg until a confirmation is made. The very latest Simrad Robertson automatic steering software is combined with powerful new drive units and high-resolution rudder sensors to provide the AP-11 with unrivalled steering capability, setting new standards for this class of autopilot. Other features include high/low speed response and automatic compass calibration. The AP-11 is a perfect autopilot for either power or sailboats up to 40 feet. The package includes the AP-11 head unit with RPU-160 drive unit and J300X junction unit for inboards with steering cylinder's up to 30 cubic inches.
